Textbook & Materials: Elementary Algebra-Academic Systems

Instructor's Educational Philosophy: I as an instructor will do all I can to assist in the learning process, but the ultimate responsibility lies with each individual student to do what is needed to acquire knowledge, advance and achieve one's goals. To benefit most from the concepts and techniques presented, the student should practice until all assignments are completed and full understanding of the material is grasped.

Course Purpose/Overview/Goals: To have students acquire the basic mathematical skills necessary for success in Math 085. And, provide a mathematical foundation that may be built upon in the future.

Student Assignments: Homework exercises will be announced in class and must be completed for a total of 100 points.

Evaluates: Evaluates are completed on the computer for a total of 50 points.

Tests: Two Tests (100 points each) for a total 200 Test points. Final Exam covers all material for a total of 200 points.
